I am very pleased to find a Catholic site dedicated to the preservation of the environment given to us by God. Jaime Santillana, An engineering university professor from Peru.

Thank you for this wonderful resource. I am often disheartened because a lot of environmental movements, even within the Church, are based on new-age, 'earth spirit', ideas and not on God and His Church. I am so thankful that your web site presents Church teachings and writings of the Saints on the care of nature and the environment, while also respecting human life -the womb as the most endangered environment. Thank you for the time and effort you have put in to providing this resource. God bless you. Catholic, Conservationist and Pro-Life. Australia.

What a great site! I am hoping to start some environmental classes at my parish, and this has given me some great ideas. Thanks! It's exactly what I was looking for!

I just discovered your website. I think its wonderful to have a site that combines the two causes that have inspired and motivated me in my life, to make a contribution to a better world: 1) To leave to the next generation, after I die, a better world with less pollution and a higher culture of preservation. I love Nature and have always considered myself an environmentalist. 2) The most important, serve God through his Church and announce the True, Catholic Faith to my brothers and sisters; to make known all the spiritual richness and testimonies in our Church. I would really like to contribute to your site, and make it known to spanish speaking people. I can start translating the contents into spanish, since I´m a mexican and that´s my mother language. I hope you contact me soon

God was the only one at the gate...there was hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people in line. The gate was superior shine like the beautiful covered with then clouds. I know that there is Jesus and Mother Mary...i will never ever deny God Jesus or Mother Mary. It was just soo beautiful it difficult for me to say. But all I can say is that I am a true believer. I will never cast judgement upon anyone...i appreciate Gods work. Thought I share this thought.

This is a tremendous site. Keep up the fine work! Our Church and our Pope continue to encourage us to study St.Thomas Aquinas, as our "universal doctor." And so, happily, "ecothomism" has recently emerged, with the following four fine documents to get the ball rolling: 1) Jill LeBlanc's article, "Eco-Thomism", in the Journal of Environmental Ethics (Fall 1999, Vol. 21, No.3); 2)Sister Pamela Smith's PhD dissertation, "Aquinas and Today's Environmental Ethics: An Exploration of How the Vision and the Virtue Ethic of 'Ecothomism' might inform a Viable Eco-Ethic." Duquesne University, 1995. 3) Jame Schaefer's PhD dissertation, "Ethical implications of Applying Aquinas' Notions of the Unity and Diversity of Creation to Human Functioning in Ecosystems." 1994, Marquette University. 4) Willis Jenkins' scholarly article presented at the Lilly Fellows National Research Conference: "Biodiversity and Salvation: Notes for an Eco-Thomism," February 2002, full text available at Notre Dame University's web site (www.nd.edu). 5) Also interesting is the french-language book, "Biologie Actuelle et Philosophie Thomiste" by Claude Chalmel, Pierre Téqui editors, 1984. I hope that eco-thomism and bio-thomism will grow stronger in time, so that our scientific disciplines and social movements can benefit from the wisdom of St.Thomas. Best regards, François Savard, B.Sc., B.Ed., CET (theology). (M.A. candidate in philosophy, Dominican College, Ottawa, Canada. Science teacher, former governmental and corporate environmental professional.)
